I understand what they are trying to say and I believe it is important. That it is okay to be whatever size you are because you are you and size doesn’t matter. I just think they have the message wrong. “Skinny” is presented in the media as a good think because generally, being skinny is a sign of…
Day 2: Caribbean Vacation
Mom and I got little glass bottom boogie boards and swam out to the dock where all the snorkelers were swimming around to watch the fish. Zach and dad went in with the boards after us.
Day 2: Caribbean Vacation
Our first port was an island in the Bahamas that is owned by the Princess cruise line. We were amazed by the clarity of the water. The sand there was thick, and your feet sank deep with every step. Not being much of a water person, I forced myself to get into the water anyways. I couldn’t resist the opportunity to swim in the caribbean and experience water as clear as what we were in. My dad came with me, and soon after we managed to get my mom and Zach in too.
Day 1: Caribbean Vacation
We got onto our ship today. During the intro show to the ship we saw a man that looked like one of my dads friends. Then, later on the ship, Zach and I ran into a girl I actually knew from school.
Alycia and I had acting class together last year and we were skit partners for our final. Our final project had been a play about a travel agent (me) who was trying to help a crazy difficult customer come up with a place to travel (her). In it, I had a line about “they went to the Bahamas….princess cruise, fiesta deck…” and I said to her just as an offhand comment, “huh, I’m going on a princess cruise to the Bahamas this summer.” And she says “me too…” And I say “no way. When? I’m going in July.” “Me too,” was her response. “The beginning of July? From Ft. Lauterdale?” “Yup” We were both shocked. Neither of us believed it ourselves, and our parents didn’t either. So imagine our excitement when Zach and I are sitting in one of the lounges, I’m reading and he is playing on his phone, and I hear a family come in and the parents saying “Alycia!” When I looked up there she was on the same exact ship, just like we thought. I went over and talked to her family and we all took in how amazing it was.
Day 0: Caribbean Vacation
We left Spring Hill around 12 o’clock and made our four hour drive to Ft. Lauterdale where we would catch our boat the next day. We had time to kill in the evening and my mother didn’t want us to spend it sitting around so we went and watched some Jai Alai and then went to dinner.
So I’ve got a new job! I work for Creative Crafthouse designing picture puzzles and cutting them from wood. Not only do I create the designs and help put them together, but my boss also has me using the machines to cut them and I also help put together some of the boxes for packaging. It’s an awesome job though and I love it!
Baseball * AirForce * Football * Cigars
(And some odds and ends animals)
Some puppy love with my doggies. They don’t usually play together so I managed to catch this rare moment on my camera.
Eating healthy at Devin’s house. Some carrot sticks with cauliflower “mashed potatoes” and beef with gravy.
Most accurate graduation cap I’ve seen so far
Devin and I went to his grandparents house where his grandpa had recently found some wild kittens living in his bar that he was trying to catch. He managed to grab one while we were there. It was super friendly and pretty much just let us per him and hold him as much as we wanted. His grandpa decided to call him Tiger and Devin tweaked it a bit to be Tony the Tiger.
